The TRU-LINE™ system is generally suitable for upper or lower anterior teeth with mild to moderate crowding. It is  also possible to move posterior teeth but this needs to be assessed case by case. From your prescription we will reset the desired teeth and make Invisible Aligners™ supplied 2 at a time. The patient wears each TRU-LINE aligner for a period of 3 weeks to gently reposition the teeth. Checkup is every 5- 6 weeks where another pair of TRU-LINE aligners (per arch) are delivered if required.

IMPRESSIONS

The TRU-LINE EZ™ system starts with good upper and lower impressions. We recommend PVS impression material however you may use other material such as alginate and choose to pour the impressions yourself and send us the stone casts. Be aware that alginates vary in quality enormously so if in doubt please contact us for recommendations.

Good detail is essential for success so take care with the impressions and or the stone casts, check carefully for detail and you can be assured of great fitting appliances.

THE PRESCRIPTION

Next it is important to fill out a TRU-LINE prescription and send it with the impressions or stone casts. On the prescription form mark which teeth you would like to move, and to what degree, also which appliances you prefer to use.

Any special instructions should also be included on the prescription form. Please remember we will only follow your exact instructions from the supplied prescription form.

The Rest Is Easy

First contact us about sending your impressions or stone casts to us. When we receive your case we will carefully check to see if the case is suitable for TRU-LINE appliances and if so fabricate your requested appliances. When completed we will send them back to you. When you receive the TRU-LINE case back fit the appliances to your patient and treatment commences.

A clear advantage of this approach is that treatment can be altered at any time, without great expense, and will always be to your exact prescription, so you are always in control.

For example as an option you may wish to use our exclusive Truline Developer™ appliance or other specialized TRU-LINE™ Auxiliary Appliances to enhance this phase of treatment. This can be integrated easily then the case could be concluded with sets of TRU-LINE™ aligners

Depending on the amount and type of movement required some interproximal reduction (stripping) may be necessary, we will follow your exact prescription if this is required.
